I think I paid right about $500 for my Ruger MK77 Mark II.......looks at Stevens or Savage!!

You need to check for closeouts or sales to find anything - other than a multi-shot Savage bolt-action. No sense in mentioning simgle-shot rifles. You didn't includethose as a purchase-option here.
