Beeman
Well, I got a new Beeman .177 1000 FPS airgun for Christmas. I am not sure what I am going to need for cleaning this thing. It is a break action model. From prelim tests, should go around 1" or better at 50 yards. Any help would be great.
Thanks, Marcial |
RE: Beeman
Dry-Slide. Never use any petrolem based solvents in a break-action airgun. Diesling will result and ruin the gun. I've owned these types of airguns for 25 years or more now and found they need little if any cleaning compared to firearms due to the fact that no propellents are used.
I would also advise you to only shoot high quality pellets in your air-rifle. Cheap, low quality pellets will not provide the seal needed and thus can reck the seals in the gun. And never dry fire one of these guns. I have a blast shooting English sparrows and Starlings with my air-rifle (Beeman - 250) to keep them out of my Martin and Bluebird houses. Have fun , gao |
