black ice teflon coating

Just curious if anyone has had there gun teflon coated? And if so did it through http://blackicecoatings.com/ ?

I was considering having done on my muzzleloader since I dont particulary like the shiny stainless steel in the woods. Plus it seems to be getting some specles of rust on it, oh well. The local gander mountain sends guns out to have the 'Black-T' coated but costs over $200. The black ice place above is $125.

I have the green on my S&W Stealth Hunter. Sharp edges showed wear quickly. I was a bit disappointed. Rest of surfaces have held up well. Tom.

I researched different gun finishes a few months ago. I came to the conclusion that ceramic coating is about the best you can get. The stuff is called CeraKote. The NIC Industries web site has pictures posted of the different colors and you can see the difference between satin and gloss. The oven cured is obviously better than air cure.

I have KG GunKote on my 7mm. I sent it to www.aquilafirearms.com in Texas to have it done. It looks really good and so far has held up very good. He can do other colors also.
