Ballistic Coeffient

Do you want a high ballistic coeffient like .5 or lower in the .2-.3 range??

The higher the BC of a bullet, the more streamlined a bullet's flight will be, so you want a higher number.

RE: Ballistic Coeffient

The higher the number the better. As a general rule Swift Sciroccos have a higher ballistic coefficient than Nosler, Seirra, and Hornady. I have not found a higher ballistic coefficient than Lost River bullets. The higher the coefficient the flatter the bullet will shoot and the less it will be influenced bya cross wind. There is a difference between a 30 caliber ballistic tip with a .460 and .508. I seriously doubt that anyone of us would be able to tell unless you are shooting 500 to 1,000 yards. I shoot ballistic tips exclusively, notjust because they have a higher coefficient, but for other reasons.
