Sell my 7 mm Rem Mag?????

I have just got an offer from a guy who really wants to buy my like new 7mm Rem Mag Win 70 Classic Stainless Steel and Syn stock. It also has a 3x9 Leupold VarII scope. He offered me $500. I traded for this rifle to a guy that just had to have one of my shotguns. Is this a good deal? I thought it was worth more. Don't really have a use for it in CT, shotgun only here.

CT............No bad deal for you ,great deal for him.The scope alone is worth around 200.00 (+ -). Then the rifle. No way. By the discription you gave "Like New" your package is worth allot more.Do whatever you want but I say it would be a losing deal on your end. Ruger Redhawk

Thanks guys, saved me from getting hosed. When I looked at the rifle I thought it was new and unfired. Suppose to have less than a box of shells thru it. I figured it was worth more than $500. The guy that traded it was in love with my shotgun. I've got 4 more so I traded as I no longer had a rifle. Don't use one much in CT but never know when I might need it. I'm going to keep it!!!

CT Smart move, Once the guns are paid for they don't cost anything to keep. You would probably regret selling it down the road. You have it and save it for a rainy day. I think you made the right decision.

Ruger Redhawk you wouldn't know where I could get a different recoil pad for my Ruger Red Label 12 guage? How about choke tubes? Any others beside Brileys? Seems like no one sells stuff for these guns. I love mine. Use it for Sporting clays and hunting. I don't think it's to heavy or to loose!!!

CT, I'm sure Ruger only has original recoil pads.Any gunsmith can install a different pad for you.Unless you've tried installing one before I would let a competent GS do it so the stock isn't ruined. He can measure you and see if he needs to cut the stock or just add it on.I like Pachmayr pads but there are other good ones out there.I really don't know about the choke tubes. All my shotguns including a early 20 ga Ruger Red Label aren't equiped with choke tubes. We have some knowledgeable people on this site that could answer your question allot better then I can.See if you can raise One shot-one kill. He could accurately answer your question I'm sure.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
