Trigger upgrade - Which one?

I have a Ruger MKII M77 All-Weather and am looking to replace the trigger. So far I've heard about the Rifle Basix and the Timney. Which one is better or are there any other brands?

Thanks

I have a Timney that I'm very happy with in a Ruger 77 in 300WM. However can't speak to the other brand.

Why buy another trigger when you can achieve excellent results by modifiying the factory parts? Your gunsmith can give you a 1st rate trigger for the same price or even less expensively thana aftermarket trigger.

I installed a Timney on my son's Model 77 compact. It's much better than the unaltered factory trigger for sure. By design, it requires some fitting (grinding part of it away with a file or Dremel tool), so be prepared for that if you plan on installing it yourself.

This is absolutely truebut keep one thing in mind. Should the rifle ever need to go back to Ruger for any reason they will remove the modified trigger and install a new one to factory specs and you will not get the modified one back. Same goes for an after market trigger. But, unlike the modified factory trigger you can simply reinstall the original before the rifle is sent to Ruger.
