Why not take the .375 H&H deer hunting? there is no such thing as overkill.
There is sucha thing as overkill, when the hunter or shooter cannot handle the gun they shoot, yet they still take it hunting, that is overkill.

I perfer the .308 but I also like my bullets a little on the heavier side.

I prefer the .308 for many reasons, one being the availibility of ammo, the second being I can shoot heavier weight projectiles in the .308.

RE: 7mm-08 vs 308

Thanks for all the replies. After inventorying the votes and comments, I have 1 for 375 H&H (not an option), 5 for 7mm-08, and 4 for 308. The comments have actually swayed me toward 308. I am not a reloader and like the fact that there are MANY more bullet choices for 308 than 7mm-08, and I also feel more confident that the Wal Mart in Alva, Oklahoma will have 308 ammo should I get up there and run out. Thanks again for the replies they were very helpful. DECISION MADE TOPIC CLOSED.
