Yes, Encore's are great rifles. I personally do not have, nor have I shot one with a .22 Hornet barrel, but I can tell you that of the calibers I have, I have been very impressed.

The .22 Hornet is a very low recoiling caliber good for any coyote sized and smaller game out to about 250 yards, assuming you do your job!

I have 4 Encores, and they are great rifles. I have never dealt with a 22 hornet as I have no use for such, but it should be extremely low recoil. As far as pricing, you can look for yourself on Gunbroker.com or AuctionArms.com.

is was just wanting a gun larger than a .22 but at a decent price. you know for coyotes, but not a shotgun.

Think that you can order an Encore with a rifle barrel for about $500-525 from Wal-Mart. Extra barrels run about $200-275 each. i love the .22 Hornet mainly because it is so cheap to reload. Most of my loads use 9.5 to 11 grains of 2400.Hornets can sometimes be a little finicky and it takes a little while to find out what load the individual gun likes.

CVA makes an Encore like gun with interchangable barrels. Its costs a good bit less. If you dont want to spend a bunch then look at the HR single shots for less then 300$

The 22Hornet isa fun round but I'd lean toward a 223 if you just want something cheap to shoot with low recoil for yotes.
