Encore Question
I am having trouble getting my encore to group ive tried numerous kinds of ammo in 30-06 and it just wont group anyone have any experience with one are they usually good shooters or not

You are the second person that I have heard about the 30-06 in the Encore. I think the first person had a problem because of a custom barrel he had on his as opposed to a regular encore. They are good shooters ..have you called Thompson Center customer service and asked them ?

No i havnt deer season starts monday and i really wanted to hunt with it but i wont take it hunting the way it shoots ive tried federal premiun rem and now i bought some winchester ammo to try went with a 180grain this time instead of 150 and 165 i dont know what else to do i have a nikon scope on it so i dont think its a scope and i use sand bags to shoot

Mike...I had the same problem with my 25-06 barrel...drove me nuts! I had the screws on the forarm too tight and the shots were all over the place. Now I just keep them "SNUG" and it's now a tack driver...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
