SCORE!! Another New Rifle!
 

I have had some luck lately with finding good deals! A few weeks ago I picked up a NIB 700 ADL for $304. It's now being turned into a .280 Improved. Today, I ran across a brand-new Savage Guide Gun (stainless synthetic, .375 H&H) for $449. The checkbook is bleeding, but I just didn't feel right letting these good deals go to perfect strangers. :D

Did I mention that I have the world's most understanding wife?

Does she have a sister? I average about1 gun every 2 years and the wife can't stand guns. We are both from Alaska, too ( near Fairbanks, where are you?).She grew up around guns and hunting , so I can't figure it out. Some yearsI have a dry spell with no new purchases, only accessories. New barrels, grips for the revolver, etc. I still go hunting with the same Winchester mod 770 30-06that my Father in law bought in 1971 at the PX at Ft. Wainwright. $99 brand new. Can't ever part with that one. I recently added a 12 gaugeMaverick to the harem. All kinds of goodies to buyfor that one!

My wife comes from a family of three daughters. My poor father-in-law. Each time I visit he gets the look of "parole" on his face. Finally, someone to hunt and fish with!

Don't bother with the sisters, by the way, I already got the cream of the crop! :D
