30-06 Trajectory

Anyone have a trajectory chart I could use for sighting in my 06'? I will be using 180 grains.

you sight it in at 200yds aim dead on all the way to 250yds before you have to compensate for the drop.

or if you are like me. i sight mine in at 50yds and aim dead on out to 200yds.

Thanks Quilly, I am going with the 50 yards as I don't have shots more than about 150-200 yards, and thanks for the quick response!

By the way, I shhot Remingtons.

If you want the trajectory go to remington.com, then to ammunition, then to ballistics, then select 30-06 under centerfire ballistics, then find the exact bullet you're using and it will give you the trajectory.
I think that about 2.1" high at 100 yards puts you on at 200 yards

Just go shoot the gun. That is the only way you azre going to know the trajectory. Tables and charts don't account for variables such as barrel length and such. Ammo is cheap, burn it.

but it gives you a rough idea of what you are looking at.

Yes, but a very rough idea. Too many people use it for final sight in. Several of the guys that hunt here on the base sight in at the base range, which is only 25 meters, and call it good. Several deer were wounded last year because of it.
