Winchester Model 94 windage?

I have a Winchester Model 94 lever action rifle. It is shooting 3" to the right. Is there a way to adjust for windage on the rear fixed sight?

Thanks,

BDC

The rear and front sights are dovetailed in. Use a brass punch or drift and a hammer to move the rear sight to the left a hair, or move the front sight to the right.

B.S.!! You need to use a brass drift, and move your rear sight to the left (as viewed from the rear) OR move your front sight to the right! Better yet, put a nice micrometer sight on the receiver, like a Williams Fool-proof, and take the open rear sight completely off. With a micrometer on the rear, you can easily adjust it very precisely!

That's a good idea...thanks. I am going to try the punch and hammer first. I did find a manual for the gun online and it said the same thing.

Bucketmouth, I am not sure what you meant by your reply but I think you are wrong.

Thanks again.

I agree... Gently tap the rear sight in the opposite direction for windage, and you'll be fine.

...A Winchester 94 (with a scope - as suggested)?!?!? No, man, no... Certain things just don't get scoped, it's considered sacriledge!

They're right on how to adjust your windage.

Also no scopes on my 94's!!

Here's an old adage to remember: As you do to the rear sight, so you do to the bullet point of impact. Works for right or left, up or down changes. Exactly the opposite is true for the front sight.

I agree!! But for maybe different reasons. I'd like them to so maybe the freakin price of a regular model 94 will go down a little!!
I'm not a gun collector, butI love the model 94. I hunt with them, I don't buy them to hang on a wall or in a gun cabinet. I would like to buy a couple more for hunting, but I can't afford to pay $600 for one. Heck some of the more un-common calibers are going for $750-$800 bucks!
Are they that way where y'all shop too?

I agree this is crazy they were charging over $900 forsome at a large retail sporting goods store with a sign saying how this is it for Winchester and last chance to buy...yada yada.

I was seriously looking for Trapper 94 in 44 mag when all this went down. I wanted a 30-30 for a long time too, but that'll be a Marlin 336.

You'd love that Trapper. I have a Modle 94 Timber Carbine 44 mag and I absolutely love it!
