Stock for 300wsm
 

My friend wants to sell me a brand new wood stock, made for "post-64" winchester "short action", like .243, 22-250, .308, acording to him. Does anyone know if it would fit a 2 year old .300 wsm? I believe 300 wsm is short action, but it seems like the chamber would be fatter for the wsm.

You should probably ask a gunsmith but I'm guessing if they are both shortaction post 64 model 70s it will probably work. You may have to do a small amount of fitting depending.

As a general rule anything that fits a .308 short action should fit the short mag.

Chamber should be the same. The differences could be in the magazine well, and the barrel channel. Tom.
