Gun Advise

I'm fairly new to rifle hunting and I'm thinking of buying a new one soon. I don't know too much about rifles but I would like a rifle that shoots fairly fast and flat that I could use on big game. I currently shoot a 30-06 but don't like the drop at long distances. I'm kind of leaning toward 7mm. But I'm not sure yet. Would you guys have any other suggestions on rifles to consider?

What "big" game do you plan to hunt?

Which 7mm are you talking about? 7mm Rem Mag, 7mmWSM, 7mm RUM, 7mm-08 Rem, 7-30 Waters, 7X64 Brenneke, 7X57, 280 Rem, 284 Win, 7mm Weatherby Mag, 7mm RSAUM, 7mm STW?

If you're speaking about the 7mm Rem Mag, it will be flatter shooting, and more energy than the 06. Good choice if you think your shots will out to 300 yds or so....
