I used the 7 Mag. on C. Tex whitetails for several years, and ended up going to a 175-grain bullet at less than maximum velocities, the lighter bullets were just too destructive in this caliber!!! Unless you can be guaranteed nothing but broadside, behind the shoulder shots all the time!! I changed to the 7X57mm for this reason.
