Default .270 bullet options

ok so here in wisconsin in the cwd zone theres an early season gun hunt from oct 14-22 and i need to get my new .270 sighted in. should iuse 130 or 150 grain bullets and also if anyone has any good advice on which brand is a good one to use that would help. most of the land down here in sw wis is flat and wide open farm land fields. thanks

Either one will work just fine but IMO I would go with the 130gr for deer.

I have always liked 150 gr bullets in my 270 (because that is what my gun likes), but my son has been shooting Win Supreme 140 gr Accubonds with great success. The bullet is very similar to a ballistic tip but with "controlled expansion" rather than rapid expansion. I don't shoot my 270 much anymore, but if I did, I would sure have to give them a try.

Like mentioned 130-150 will do just fine. Personally i used 130 for deer sized game mostly. I had good results with Nosler Parts, Ballistic Tips and Hornady Interloc's. The accubond loaded by winchester supreme and/or federal premium in 140grshould be an excellent choice as well!

I shoot 150 gr core-lokt. Unbelievable accuracy at 100 yards out of my gun, I'm talking in the same hole prettyoften.
