By the way, do you think that the SPS is better or as good as the ADL?

The SPS is currently on sale at Academy for $444. A couple of weeks ago, Bass Pro had them for $419.

The only thing I don't like about the SPS is the 24" barrel. I hunt out of a blind and the longer barrel is just a little less handy. My son's Youth Model 7 is really sweet in a blind...

Cuz your up north. Academy is aTexas based chain with all their stores in the south or border states. Best prices but not a great selection. I've spent a lot of money there.

Same gun. The only two differences is that the SPS adds a hinged aluminum floor plate and the stock has some different "checkering" designs.

A remington 700 is a Remington 700. The differences come only in cosmetics and stocks,except for the Custom shop guns.
