BTW, Savage, Ruger, Weatherby and Winchester also have left handed actions. The selection, finish andchamberings are a lot lower though for the southside fellas. [:'(]

Good choiceI think you'll be very glad you did!!

I'm not posting anything new..but here are my experiences as well..

Lefty grew up and still use righties

If its anything other than a bolt rifle WITH A SCOPE I have NO problem whatsoever, and see no reason to by a LH gun

I'm looking into a gun right now...it'll either be a BLR/sagave 99 or a left handed bolt ONLY because MAY wear a scope someday. Honestly I'm young and, with contacts, my eyes are plenty for anything 150yards in (deer size) and it'll be a walking/brush gun.

Lefty here.

Check out the Save line up. They offer more lefy models than anyone else. I still haven't bought a LH rifle, but by next deer season I will have one. I have decided on the Stainless Savage in either .308win or 300wsm.

I have been reading a lot of reviews over the past year and have been really surprised. I've read SEVERAL posts like "my buddy's savage holds tighter groups than my A-bolt" and simular statments with the Savages out shooting Ruger.

A lot of police dept. now use savage rifles and I read somewhere that the military is switching over.

Check them out.

There is a growing contingent of right handed shooters who want left handed guns. While shooting from a bipod, they can stay on target and work the bolt with their left hand. These folks are mostly snipers and tactical competitors, but the principle is worth considering.

Roskoe,
That's a very thing. Makes sense to me (I was actually sitting here at my desk at work trying it). Just easier to load the gun again ifone needs another shot. Never really thought about usinga bolt on a bi-pod.
