Recoil Pad on Rem. 7600 ???
Does anyone know if the new Rem. 7600's come with a recoil pad? The Rem. catalog shows the 750 with a pad, but the, picture for the 7600 doesn't show the complete button the wood stocked photo, and the synthetic stock is hard to tell.
The clock is ticking for me guys. Still haven't located a 760 carbine in .308. May have to settle for an '06, or get a new 7600 rifle in .308 and have it cut. Any help with the 760/308 carbine would be appreicated. Thanks. PS.The '06s are great - but I already have 2 and don't really need a 3rd. |
RE: Recoil Pad on Rem. 7600 ???
If they dont come wiht one put one on, I recomend the Limb Save Recoil Pads. I Put one on my 12 gauge a few years ago and it works wonders.

If you already have 2 06's why do you even need a 308? The synthetic stocks do have a Remington R3 recoil pad but the wood stocks don't. Don't recall ever seeing a 308 carbine only the 06. Just checked the website, nope no 308 carbine.

It's not a matter of need, it's more a matter of would like to have a pump carbine in a short action. I'll have to check out the Limb Saver pads.
Thanks. |
RE: Recoil Pad on Rem. 7600 ???
I posted on another thread about this that there might be some special run 308. While writing I was thinking about Grice wholesale. If your local gun dealer can find them and send them a FFL they would be your best bet for finding a new 308 in carbine.
I would worry more about EAR PLUGS than a recoil pad if I were looking for a carbine 76-0-0:D. |
RE: Recoil Pad on Rem. 7600 ???
The R3 remmington recoil pad and the limb saver are the same pad. Limb saver license remmingto to use it the only differents is one says Limb saver and one says remmington. It will reduce felt recoil by 30 to 40 percent
