All depends on what you'll be doing with it.

RE: 12 Ga. OR 20 Ga. ????
A 12 gives you more shot, no matter what you are shooting at. The velocity of the shot is approximatly the same in both guns. A 20 ga. is lighter to carry in most cases. I've noticed that good shots often go to 20 ga. because they are confident in their shooting. A 12 gives you more margin for error.

RE: 12 Ga. OR 20 Ga. ????
I LIKE THE 12GA. FOR BOTH WORK AND FOR HUNTING, BUT I DO FIND THAT MY 2 20GA SLUG GUNS THROW A BETTER SLUG CAUSE THERE LIGHTER, BUT 12GA HAS MORE DOWN RANGE KNOCK DOWN POWER

RE: 12 Ga. OR 20 Ga. ????
For deer hunting, the new 20-ga. sabot-type slugs are so much better than the old Foster-type that it is no longer much of an advantage to shoot a 12 for deer. But the 12 still has a heavier shot charge, and hence more range, than the 20 will ever have. But, the 3" 20-ga. shell with 1-1/4 oz. of shot is pretty impressive, if your gun is bored right!!
