Browning Bar

Just bought a new browning bar safari in .270. Haven't shot it yet. Last year on the last day of gun season I used my dad's remington auto 30-06 and killed two does in the same field with two shots, smooth shot's, and it kinda turned me on to an auto. It will be my first auto rifle, I've always shot bolt's. So this is gonna be a little different. Anybody else have this auto that enjoy's it?

I don't own a BAR, but I sure wouldn't mind having one. I do own a browning A-5 though and absolutely love it. If the BAR is anything like that gun you will never want to get rid of it.

I owned a bar markII in 7mmremmag for a short time, but after it jammed twice in cold wet weather it was quickly sold. And after dropping two wolves on the run,one after the other with my bolt gun,I realized that I really didn't need a semi auto.

I don't have one personally but I have a friend who has a couple of them. They are good guns and shoot nice with low recoil. I personally like lever action or bolt action rifles though there is nothing wrong with the Bar.

A freind had one in .30-06 and after chronic jamming issues, decided to get rid of it.

I have one in .308, it was a retirment gift from my days in the Navy. I love it but, since it means so much to me it only get's used on warm sunny no rain days. I hope you like yours.

I own a BAR 30-06 no problems with it jamming, just keep it clean!

I don't think anyone will tell you anything wrong about Browning, they are a good company, it all comes down to action choice, personally I'm fine without a semi.
