.35 Rem to .356 Winchester - Is it possible?

Just wondering if you could do this, it looks like you'd just have to rechamber the bore? Looks like if I got a 336 in .35, that'd be a cheap way to get a .356.

Check the case demensions. If rechambering it cleans the old chamber out, it should work. I believe the 356 was chambered in the 336 for a short time. A better choice might be the 358 in the Browning lever. I had one in 307 and 356 but they were Big Bore Winchesters.

I don't think I will be trying this conversion myself, I wouldn't be that comfortable with the pressure differences between the .35 Remington and the .356 Winchester. The 336 is a fairly strong action, but...

Okay, from what I've read, I'll probably start looking for a BLR in .358 or a Big Bore in .356. Thanks for the replies

Research rechambering a BLR before you spend money. I am scared of them, and design. Have seen the aftermath of a worn locking mechanism in person.
