A day at the range with the 375H&H (new pig load)
I just settled on a load of 67gr of AR2208 behind the 220gr Taipan flat nose.
The only trouble is that I have to seat the projectiles out so far that the base of the projectile only sits halfway down the neck, but I can live with that. According to my calculations that load should be getting around 2800-2850fps, so it should be a great 250m load for pigs. At 100m the biggest 3 shot group was 35mm and the smallest was just 23mm, the 5 shot group came in at 36mm so I’m quite happy overall. ![]() The best of all was that where my old 270gr load produced 45ft/lbs of recoil, this one only produces 30ft/lbs. Meaning that after I finished firing 50 rounds from the bench not only did I still have all my fillings but my shoulder was fine as well. |

Does that length of cartridge feed well out of a fullmagazne in a speed drill?
No crimping I assume? |

It feeds well as it is the same length as my 270gr Woodleigh’s are and I give them a light crimp, just enough to insure that the neck has a nice firm grip of the pill. |
