are ruger no. 1 known for being accurate, they seem like they would be because alot of variables are controlled with them

A #1 will shoot good ammo as well as you can hold it.

Ruger No 1's have potential to be incredibly accurate. Out of the box, they aren't much different than a good bolt action. I have a 2o inch 30-06 that shoots anything I put in it at about 1.5 inch at 100 yards. A friend has one in 25-06 with a 26 in barrel that is scary accurate with some loads. Some are real good, some need a bit of work to be real good, and I guess some drive you nuts trying to make them real good.
