old shotgun
 

I have recently inherited my wife's great grandfather's shotgun. It was made by Union Machine Co. I was wondering if anybody has any information on this gun ie. - age, dates the company was in business. It is an old Damascus double barrel hammer gun. Any information is appreciated.

I will try and look it up in an old book I have at home. Another site you may wish to try is doublegun.bbs or .net or something. If you try a search for doublegun you may find the site. I have it at home if noone here knows it. Anyways it is an excellent site. Those boys know everything about every scattergun ever produced. It is an english site I believe, I think your gun also may have come from liverpool around the turn of the century. I will get back to you
