Verticla Forearm Grip Legal for Hunting?

Hey guys,

A friend of mine asked me to post a question about a vertical forearm grip on an AR type weapon. Are there any legality issues with this grip for hunting in Michigan or elsewhere?

Thanks

Tom

IMO just contact the Michigan DNR and ask .

All I know , is in Ohio it is legal .
But every state has a few laws that are different .

Get a name and number , a badge number if posible also , if they say it is legal .
That way if you are stoped in the feild , you can say I talked to , Joe Blow at XXX XXX XXXX number and they said it was OK

If it is legal to own such a rifle in Michigan, I suspect it is OK to use it hunting, as long as the rifle otherwise complies with Michigan game laws regarding magazine capacity, etc. etc. I doubt that game laws are too concerned about the shape of a gunstock!

Here in PA, it would NOT be legal for huntng, because semi-autos are illegal for hunting-rifles have to be"manually operated", eg., lever, pump, bolt, single-shot, etc. In the parts of New York where rifles are legal for hunting deer, a semi-auto is limited to six round capacity, so one would have to use a small magazine. However, the game laws says nothing about stock configuration.
