lever action shotgun
I LOVE lever action guns. But I also like shotguns. I was wondering if it's possible to make one. and if so, have any of you guys(or gals) heard of one or know where to get one? I was thinking something along the lines of a 20 ga. something small. I'd really appreciate your help.

RE: lever action shotgun
winchester makes a 410 lever action shotgun. its called the "9410." ive read that it jammed alot, but it was a novalty to shoot. most article read about it says its more novelty than functionality.

RE: lever action shotgun
They just had a write up about the 9410 in fur fish & game last month sounds like a fine little shotgun the only thing i saw that I didn"t like about it was it was only chambered for 2 1/2 in. sheels 3 in. would be alot better I didn't notice the part about the jamming

RE: lever action shotgun
The Win 9410 is not really a hunting gun. I'm a 410 nut....and you HAVE to shoot the 3" shells to kill any animal effectively. The 2.5" shells lack sufficient powder and lead to take any animal much past 20 yards. A 3" 410 shell can stretch much further than that.
I also read that the 9410 has a cycling problem. I read that the specs are close, and it's easy to short stroke the lever and jam the gun. |

RE: lever action shotgun
My grandpa gave me a real old lever action 10 gauge. Unfortunately I haven't brought it down from Colorado yet so I can't tell you much more about it. It is a beast, though!!

RE: lever action shotgun
I kinda thought that the 9410 was more suited to shooting slugs, rather than birdshot... I think I used to have some 2.5 slugs, I can't quite remember... maybe not?
