.270 WSM or .300 WSM - Sako or Steyr
 

I am about to purchase a rifle and after several days of reading reviews and documentation, I decided to go for one of the WSM.

I will use the rifle forhunting mule deer 99% of the time and once per year for blackbear, moose and elk.

I need your advice to help me choose the best caliber (.270 WSM or .300 WSM) and the best rifle (Sako 75 Stainless or Steyr Pro Hunter Blue Barrel).

I don't know what rifles chambered for what cartridges thatyou already have....
All other factors equal, I would go with the 300 WSM hands down.

That said, I'm thinking a 22LR would be a much betterchoice for the mouse hunting.

LOL:D I have a .300 wsm and I love the accuracy of the round and I would rather have the bigger round; especially for elk and mouse;)

I would say the 300 WSM would be a better choice because of the moose and elk hunting thrown into the picture. I have no experience in the Steyr but I sure like my Sako 75 chambered for the 270 WSM. I basically use my 270 WSM for deer but wouldn’t hesitate using it for bear...
