RE: Savage Rifles

They are a real nice looking gun. They havea Savage indian head medallion on the pistol grip cap if I am not mistaken. I have been wanting to get oneof those myself. All I can tell you is that being a Savage it is going to be a great shooter. I have 7 savage rifles and they all shoot 3/4'' groups or better at 100 yds. I have a .300wsm that shoots 1/4'' groups and several 22.250's then put bullets all day in one ragged hole. Savage guns are an attractive rifle now and the accutrigger is the best factory trigger on the market. Go on gunbroker and see what they are going for.

I just wish they would make this in a left hand version. I have 4 savage rifles in my safe and if i buy another rifle it will be another savage. My Remingtons, Rugers and Winchesters are shoved way in the back cause they dont come out any more except to get dusted off.

Long action is called the 114 American Classic. .270, 30-06, 7mm, and .300 winmag http://www.savagearms.com/114AmerClassic.htm

Here is where it tells about the Savage medallion on the pistol grip cap. These are the "beauties" in their line up. These guns are sweet and I am sure great shooters. http://www.savagearms.com/2005_pressrelease.htm

I hear ya. My gun safe is loadedwith lots of different makes and the Savages are the ones getting used. My LGS turned me onto Savages a few years back. He has been in business for 30 years and knows his guns. He has told me many times that he has never had a customer come in and complain that a Savage won't shoot. Here is one of my wife'sSavage 22.250 groups out of her mod 12BVSS at 100 yds.

RE: Savage Rifles

Here is one of my favorite Savages. A .300 wsm 16BSS. This gun is rare as Savage only built a few for a distributor. It is a Weather Warrior with a laminate checkeredstock and has the accutrigger. I found it NIB on Gunbroker. This gun will put three bullets in a dime at 100 yds. I just found another one of these on Gunbroker now. Here is the listing http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=48132309
