well first off its a remington 700 are they ever to bad? and the design of the sps is pretty sweet. the r3 pad does take the bite away and they are priced pretty well. id take one ifi can find one i need lol (caliber is what i mean) lol

I just bought one in 223. It has the 24 inch barrel. I adjusted the trigger and took it to the range. Shoots very well in what little I got to shoot it. IMO they are one of the best values out there. They are in pretty good supply where I live. Sportsmans Warehouse had the best price in my area.

Pretty sure the R3 recoil pad is the exact same as the Limbsaver recoil pad, and if you search the forums you'll see that the Limbsaver recoil pad is one of the best money can buy.

Since mine is a 223, I never paid any attention to the pad. Later I want to pick up one in the 24 inch 7MM-08.

Yeah same here...I hate to sell a new gun but if the price is that right its outta here...:DI wonder if that extra 2 inches will really amount to much with the 08. Couldnt hurt...
