Suggesstions for Tikka scope!

Well, it's about time to start looking for a scope for my tikka 25-06. Any suggesstions? I really can't afford a 4 or 500 dollar scope right now. Just mainly used for deer hunting here in MO. What brands, powers, etc would work well for me?Thanks!

What kind of price range are you lookin at? Check out the Nikon Buckmaster series of scopes, they make an excellent mid-range optic.

The bushnell 3200 is a good scope for the price.

Burris Fullfield II is pretty good. I have one on my Tikka T3 .243 with Optilock rings.

For just over 300 you can easily pickup a new Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 or a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x40 on ebay.

For 200 and change I would recommend a Leupold VX-II 3-9x40...

If you want something under 200 let us know that and I am sure we could come up with some appropriate ideas.

Around $300 or so is fine. Is it safe to buy a scope on ebay? Are there certain bidders you all use? Would a 3-9x40 or close be what I want? Thanks for the help so far!

It's safe to buy a scope on Ebay as long as you purchase it from a seller with close to 100% feedback rating. There always exists the possibility that you could get ripped off, though. Just an inherant risk of buying off of Ebay, no matter what you are buying. 3-9x40 is a very versitile power that should be good for anywhere you hunt. I have owned a new Burris Fullfied II scope and a new Leupold VXII scope in the past year, and the Leupold wins hands down in my book. A new Leupold VXII 3-9x40 is right in your price range, and that is what I would recommend you purchase. It will be the last scope you ever need to buy for that rifle, and you won't be dissapointed. Leupold is one of the most popular brands for a reason.

If you can afford a fine quality scope for $300, I'd recommend Nikon Monarch. It's 1 piece tube. Excellent optics. Lifetime warranty.

If $200, I think you can buy a Nikon Buckmaster. Similar to the Monarch, but a 2 piece tube on the barrel of the scope. I think with Tikka's solid rings and groove machined into the top of the receiver the scope barrel on a Tikka is less likely to flex than with some other mounting systems. So, I think really either scope would serve you well.
