Cause I am only hitting 4 out of 5 arrows in the kill zone at 15 yards. Instintive shooting is taking little bit longer than planned:D

Is it like this one!:D:D:D:D:D

I got a Martin Savannah 50#. I like it but have had alot of trouble from it. Just got it back from Martin. The top notch was cutting strings. I like the Mathews legacy too, but it cost about 200 dollars more. I wish the sanannah was little longer than 62". Might limit my arrow pinch some.

I am shooting aluminums now but have a set of cedars. I figure work more with the alums until I get better so I can finelytune cedars. Cedars are what I want tohunt with in the fall.

I got a new bowtech a while ago and I guess shooting became too easy:D:D:D, so I figured I would go backwards in life. Seriously however this bowtech liberty has to be finest bow I have owned in my life.

Just keep practicing with the Martin..you'll have to shoot it daily that and my shoulder acting up is why I got rid of my recurve. If I had to do it all over again I would buy a Reflex caribou and shoot fingers. Thats just me though I like shooting fingers.

I shoot a Browning BPS 10 gauge. Factory Winchester #5's and my handloads with copper plated #4's & buffer patterned the best. I installed a TruGlo Extended, ported xtra full choke and has a 28" barrel.
I patterned an honest 21 pellets in the head and neck at 50 yards. Most birds that I have shot have been in the 20-30 yard range, but I did hammer one at 4 yards once. Farthest I've ever shot a bird was last week at approx 40 yards. Know one guy who claims to have shot a tom at 100 yards with his 10 gauge, but I can't verify that.

If Federal comes out with a flite control wad for a 10 gauge ..it would be outlawed ..you could probably shoot down small airplanes.:D

I got to read more about this flight control. I hear good things.

RE: Still a 35 yard Turkey Gun

This year I shot a bird at about 57 yards, dropped it in it's tracks, and broke its wing with:

Remington 870 supermag in black($350)
tru-glo single bead fiber-optic sight ($20)
31/2 inch federal flight control #5 shot hevi-shot ($32 for a box of 10)
Primos tightwad choke ($25)

This is what I'd consider to be a VERY effective turkey combo for under $400.

I patterned at 60 yards b4 the season this year, just for grinns, and had 14 bb's in neck and head, so I felt pretty confident with the shot.

I would say that the shell had more to do with it than anything else.
