RE: Browning A-Bolt w/ BOSS compensator

I'm on my 4th year with a A-bolt Stalker w/ BOSS in .308. Most accurate hunting rfle I have ever owned. It consistantly marks 1/2" or better groups and shoots a heck of a lot easier than my Model 70 with the varmint barrel. 7 pounds with scope is also very nice. You bet it is loud but the .308 feels like a .223 recoil. I just bought a medallion w/ BOSS in .300WSm for my Dad and it was love at first sight. I say spend the extra $100 and piss off the rest of the guys at the range.

Yea, it amazes me the number of people who got to a rifle range and gripe about the noise!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

RE: Browning A-Bolt w/ BOSS compensator

I bought a Browning A-Bolt II with the BOSS chambered in 30-06 when they first came out about nine years ago. I love it. The BOSS really does work, as far as accuracy is concerned but it takes time and ammo to fine tune it. If I do my part I can get 1/2&quot; to 3/4&quot; 5 shot groups. I don't know about the 30% reduction in recoil but it does help quite a bit.

I'd buy another one (and have) without hesitation. (If they'd just offer a few more in the left handed version.)

I also own rifles by Remington and Ruger, I prefer the Browning.

Good Luck
