CZ 527 Varmint Rifle

Anyone have any experience with these rifles? I am pricing one in 223 with the H-S Kevlar stock. I kind of have my next gun narrowed down to this rifle or a Browning A-Bolt Varmint.

I have a new Nikon Buckmaster 6-18x40 that will go on top of the rifle. Have 1000rds of ammo loaded up from my last 223s as well.

So, lets hear the about both rifles I mentioned, and what other guns may I be overlooking?

I have a CZ 550 American in 30-06,topped off with a Leupold VX 111 in 3.5 x 10 x 40.
A very well manufactured rifle, shoots 3/4 groups at 100yds.without any "tweeking".I bought it because I've always liked a Mauser action,price(565.00),company manufactoring history, and the trigger is so sweet and adjustable it will bring a tear to your eye.I would'nt hesitate to buy another one...Bob

I have some experience with a CZ 527 carbinbe in 7.62X39mm, and a 550 in .416 Rigby. IF the gun you're looking at is anywhere near as accurate as these two are, you will have no trouble hitting prairie dogs at 300 yards with it!!

Got the same gun with a laminated stock, heavy barrel and a weaver 6-16x almost 7 months ago.Expecting good things from it. Haven't shot it yet as I just got the rings for it, the ugly CZ ones and have been a little busy with a divorce. Got two other CZ's a 17hmr and .308and they have all been excellent shooters. Love the size of the mini mauser action. I'll post my initial results when I finally get a chance to relax which may not be for a while. Good luck with your CZ. See ya.
