fine .223
I want a really fine(beautiful) looking-shooting rifle-in 223. I dont want a semi-auto--more like a bolt action. Ive looked at CZ rifles and they look nice, I like the savage with the accutrigger, and rem 700's are nice. Opinions on the best shooting-looking. I just want it to have a long distance- small game rifle. But I do want it in .223. thanks

RE: fine .223
the savage 12 fvss is a beautiful looking and shooting rifle. The trigger is great and is ajutable on the accutriger models which is somthing that cant be said about a lot of rifles these days. I have my rifle equiped for benchrest shooting so its not much of asmall game rifle because of the 10-40x scope.

Here are a few......
http://dakotaarms.com/cgi-bin/quikstore.cgi?store=&search=yes&detail=yes &product=DP01&category=Dakota_Predator& ;keywords=&hits_seen=&page=search.html& ;and=&affiliate_id=&exact_match=yes http://www.cooperfirearms.com/mt_varminter.html Both of these are shooters and not bad on looks either. I just bought a Cooper and like all that leave the shop....the test target is a "bug hole" l |
RE: fine .223
im gonna go out on a limb with the 700 but i think the bdl especially but all of them are beautiful to me and there isnt much of a question about accuracy.

Jake, I wasnt aware that Kimber makes a rifle in 223 Rem? I have a Kimber 8400 in 300 WSM and it's a beautiful rifle and a good shooter.

RE: fine .223
Kimber has been making a 223 for several years. But I think the Savage will be hard to beat, since they use a 1-9 twist rate in their 223 barrels, which enables them to shoot lightweight bullets as well as up to 69 gr target bullets equally well. Also the accutrigger is the best thing to come along since sliced bread. The best and most accurate $ you can spend is a Savage.

I have a Kimber in 223.
My light barreled Kimber shoots better than my friends Savage heavy barreled 223 |
RE: fine .223
Tikka. Great price, very accurate - the only beef is the action length.

I really like the Browning Abolt Medallion. I think they are absolutely stunning.
