Is .204 good caliber?

I am interested in the .204 caliber. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it. I'm from a really windy part of the country, so I'd expect to be shooting thru some wind. Also at long ranges, is this a tackdriver? I can't seem to find anyone that has shot one.

Any experiences? Thanks!

At what ranges? If any of your buddies shoot a .223 it drifts about the same in the wind. (The increased velocity reduces the time it's in the air and offsets the disadvantage of lighter bullets.)

Well I'd like to hit a prarie dog at 800 yards! Lol, just kidding! I bought a .223 a few years ago but didn't like it at all, so I sold it after about 50 shots. Decent in the wind I guess- as good as can be expected in West Texas. I appreciate the help!

If you want a real wind bucker look at stepping up to the .243 or on up to a 6mm(.264) of some type. There's a ton of match quality, extremely high BC bullets available in that caliber. (it's a popular match caliber)
