what scopes for the ruger mk 77 frontier
 
what scopes do you guys use for your ruger frontier rifles. the scopes sit way up on the gun. have no idea whats out there for this type of gun. thanks for the replies and good luck to all this season:)

The only one I know of is the Leupold FX-II 2.5X28 scout scope.

You can not use a handgun scope because the eye relief is too long and you can't use a standard scope becasue the eye relief is too short.



I am sure you are well aware but just in case a little FYI. I get nimrods in the store all the time that purchase the Ruger scout rifle and then want to put something like a Zeiss 3.5-10X50 on top like a regualr rifle. It aint gonna work. The whole idea behind this rifle is to mount a low power scope foward over the barrel so that you can track a moving target in thick brush with BOTH EYES OPEN. It makes for a very quick handling bolt action rifle that allows lightning quick target acquisition and follow up shots.
