RE: Never again will I let a gunsmith glass bed my gun
I bet I know who he is. Well, not sure if I have ever seen any of his guns besides Kenny Jarretts or Ed Browns, but he talks a good game and is always busy.

RE: Never again will I let a gunsmith glass bed my gun
I have a good local smith who does all my work. He did trigger jobs on 2 of my Ruger Super Blackhawks and one on my Ruger 77 as well as bedding its action. This action was actually'rocking' in the stock before bedding. He also bedded my Browning A-bolt Micro Hunter because it wasn't shooting as well as I thought it could. He has a gun shop and is always busy but he does the work himself and does excellent work. It takes a while to get the work done but is well worth it and his prices are very reasonable. I guess you just have to beware of the nationally famous guys!!

My gunsmith is in his early 80's. Probably been doing it for 50-60 years. He works extremely reasonable...he said he'd probably do it free if he was rich.....and I believe it. Man usually charges me 10 bucks for a trigger job....spring change included..lol.
