.264 win or 6.5-06 for mule deer
I've been planning to have an old style ruger m77 rebarreled to 6.5-06 for open country mule deer hunting. I just found a new remington classic in .264 win mag for a reasonable price. Does anyone have experience loading the .264? Ken Waters stated in his pet loads that he had trouble with the .264. I believe it was getting consistant accuracy.

you should post this in the reloading forum , you'll probably get more info in there.
but - if you want a 6.5 rifle , and possibly a magnum . why don't you get the remington M673 in 6.5 rem. mag. , they offer factory loads for that caliber , and they would most likely equal or better your 6.5-06 in pressure and velocity.
