my dad has my granpas old 12ga. side by side its in new condition but been shot
my dad says its not worth much but i think its need anyone know how much there worth?

Wow..you got lucky on this one, it can often be tough to locate answers tothese questions but I found this immediately....


AJ Aubrey Shotguns
This is a toughie. The Standard catalog says they sell from $100 to $1500 and you should get a professional appraisal before buying or selling one. AJ Aubrey doubles were made for Sears by their subsidiary company, Meriden Fire Arms, of Meriden, CT, from 1905-1915. They came in five grades. Even the field grade guns were a cut above a normal hardware store trade name. Most in well-used condition but still fully functional will probably fall in the $150-$250 range, but a field grade gun in NRA Excellent condition could bring a bit more. If the gun has engraving and appears to have higher quality wood, you may have one of the better grades, and in Excellent condition these could reach that $1500 mark. So, really if you don't have a "best" or at least "better" gun in high condition, a true professional appraisal may cost you nearly as much as the gun will bring at auction.
