Hornady ammo

good buddy of mine says that hornady ammo is the best money can buy if you dont hand load. he stated to me that the ballistics that hornady advertises for their ammo is true. whats your opinion on this?

light magnums are junk. Rest is reasonable.

I Like Hornady bullets, but have never used their ammo. Good luck.

I shot a 225 to 250 lb hog at about 30 yards with Hornady's 350 gr xtp in 500 S&W. It knocked the hog completly off its feet.

Same here. Amazing results in accuracy and trajectory w/ factory Hornady loads in 300WM. I don't trust anyone's printed ballistics though; I never assume until I test them myself.

I use the .308 150 grain sst custom ammo for deer. It does a great job and is accurate in my Remington mohawk 600. It shoots flat too.

I like there rounds but not all rifles like them. You will have to try them yourself to see if your rifle shoots them okay. Most of there custom ammo is at the top end of the charts . Have fun and good luck !!

I handload for most my shooting needs but in general I have found both Federal Premium and Hornady Customs the best OTC ammo interms of groups IME.

As far as bulletsbeen pretty partial to Nosler offerings but Hornady have always worked when I took them to the field.

Ballistic tables...well lets just say you need salt with most of them. I agree no way to determine what they'll do until you shoot and verify them in your rifle (s).

I say their worth a try if your looking to improve on your current load. Tinkering is part of the fun as it gets you out shooting, which is never a bad thing!!

Good Luck
