Ive got a winchester rifle and it is stainless. I take great care of it....it is my baby.....but no matter what i do, little spots on it turn brown....anyone know any little tricks or anything like that to take care of that problem?? thanks fellas

00 steel wool and gun oil....rub gently...

I took this advice from Bigcountry and it worked perfectly.

Agreed!!! After this process is completed keep it lightly oiled.

Also make sure to wipe it down with a dry/clean cloth after its been subjected to moist conditions (rain, snow, humidity, etc) and then lightly oil to add a protective barrier.

My cousin in Tennessee has a lot of problems with moisture in his house. He kept his guns oiled but they continued to rust. He solved his problem by running a dehumidifier in his gun room.

lightly oil it after your done cleaning it. check it frequently, and reoil it.
works for me
