Charles Daly is importing a Zastava-made stainless steel Mauser Field Grade bolt-action rifle in several standard and magnum chamberings. The company's Superior Grade rimfire sporter is now available in .17 HMR. The rifle features a 22-inch barrel, detachable five-round magazine and a hand-checkered, oil-rubbed walnut stock. In addition, Daly's also got four new Italian-made O/U shotguns in a Limited Edition NRA Commemorative Diamond Grade. For auto lovers, there's a synthetic-stocked, left-handed Field Hunter VR-MC-LH 12 gauge that can be had with a 24-, 26- or 28-inch barrel. www.charlesdaly.com

Zastava is the factory that gave us the wonderful Yugo automobile[8D]

My reason for being anti-charles daly is that a buddy of mine that I used to trap shoot with a lot bought a CD O/U. He couldn't hit a darn thing with it. When he patterned it, he discovered that the two barrels weren't regulated worth a crap and had pattern centers 3 feet away from eachother.

Briman---Sorry your buddy had such a bad experience. I also have shot a LOT of trap, and have shot and owned several Charles Daly O/U's.I have never had a bit of problems with any of them, and my current Superior Grade Broadway is deadly on doubles. It was mfg. by Miroku. I suppose, as with any thing else, you can get a lemon out of known good lines, or get a good one out of known lemon lines.
Would I buy another if the need ever came up? I would certainly give it close consideration.

I own 3 Superior Grade mauser rifles and they are top of the line I would buy them before a remmy or a browning. The fit and finish is better than them both, and the price is great. At the range it will out shoot the remmy or the browning and with a life time gar. what more could you want.

i have the synthetic Field Hunter. I'm not saying it's my favorite gun but it does the job and I have never had any problems with it
