BigBulls, very well stated indeed! I see it as just another attempt to make the 308 Win more than it is. With that said, it's a great cartridge.

Yes, I feel that the 270 WSM is more of a short action standard cartridge than a "magnum", butI would imagine that 'Short Magnum' will carry more sales clout than 'Short Action'..
