Ruger 10/22 question

I'm wondering if any of you guys might know where I can buy just the action and receiver? Thanks!

There was a site selling stripped Ruger recievers for $75 I think but after ou figure in shipping and transfer fees (the reciever is the serial #ered part) you might as well just buy a complet gun and ebay off the unwanted parts.
of course you could go aftermarket. Volquartsen, and a few other manufcaturers do make and sell stripped recivers based on the 10/22 design. still, you'll pay more than a complete Ruger 10/22. All depends on what you want in the end.

Thanks everyone, maineshooter, what I'm wanting in the end is a tricked out 10/22. I'm looking at the carbon fiber (maybe graphite, I could be mistaken)bull barrel and stock combo from butler creek and later on aftermarket trigger and sear etc.I was just trying to figure out a way to save a little money versus buying a complete gunand using nothing but the action and receiver. Sometimes used ones at a good price are hard to find, a lot of the pawn shops in my area seem to think that they can charge durn near new retail prices for used guns.

You should really do some reading and question asking over on Rimfirecentral. www.rimfirecentral.com
Also, the BC caron fiber bbls are axactly looked upon very highly by most over on RFC. There's lots of bbl makers now. Again, check thoughts and opinions on each at the RFC forums. If you're looking for a stock.bbl combo, look at Boyd's. They've got a great package going. For the trigger...TT Shooter.
But, head to the RFC forums, look around do some searches and ask questions. Chances are if it's 10/22 it's been discussed and tryed by someone there.
