Question about Weatherby Accubrake

I have a Weatherby Accumark 30-378. I misplaced or lost the Accubrake/muzzlebrake. Although I can still shoot the rifle without it because I still have the thread protector on it. My question is would and Accubrake from the same model and caliber work. I was told I have to ship the rifle to a Weatherby service center to have it put on and to be test fired. To me it doesn't make sense. It is a factory barrel with a custom stock so wouldn't a different accubrake fit? And would accuracy be effected?
