I shoot an old Belgium Browning F/N 270... the ammo I shoot is a 150 grain Hornady NBT .... seems to do the job.

I was working up in 0.3 grs steps when I settled on that load. As I recall at 56.2 things were begining to get hot and at 56.5 it was time to stop.

It is just the way things worked out.

My favorite load is 54gr IMR 4350,130gr Nosler BTs, W-W std. primers and Federal cases. Get a .5" group at a 100yds in a Rem 700. They work real well on deer sized game but don't use them for elk or bigger game. Zeak

For elk, some of the better bullets include: 130 Swift Scirocco, 140 Nosler Accubond, 150 Sierra BT, 150 Hornady Interlock, 150 Speer Grand Slam.
