i have owned alot of rifles and the browning a-bolt is one of the best i have ever owned,next to my sig rifle i once had,wish i would of kept.i have ownwed remigton 700 bdl,savage 116,winchester 70,and rugers markll 77,and out of all of them its the browning a-bolt and sig, that i like the most.just my opinion...

7mm-08 has more energy than the 308 and 260 and shoots flatter....

Not sure I understand your reasoning on how the 7mm-08 has more energy than a 308. I'd like to see some info backing this statement.

A .284 bullet out of a necked down .308 case is NOT going to have more energy than a 30 caliber.

go to remington ballistics and compare it to the 7mm-08 and the 308. with the standerd cor lokt ammo,or any ammo and you will see,it also has more energy than the 30-06 and is flatter than the 30-06 in 150 gr and 165 gr.

ill think you will be surprised that it does.theres your info.it compares to a 280,but i think that is awsome whem it is a short action compared to a long action.the .284 is the most gravity defien bullet made.

I will give you it does shoot a little flatter, but it does not have more energy than the 308 or 30-06. As per Remington ballistics.

and its more accurate cause less kick,its a bad ass round for a short action,its king of the short actions,i love mine...
