rem 7600 35 whelen

If im not mistaken you hae the pump action .35 correct? I have one and its perfectly normal for the action to reward after fired. I beleive Remington was the first to come out with the "Speed Pump", Winchester followed this by putting it on their shotguns. My 7600 .308 does the same thing.

I've got a 7600 35 Whelen also. That's normal, all pumps-rifles and shotguns work that way. When you pull the trigger it releases the lock up. If you don't pull the trigger you have to use the release button.
