New 3" Benelli or Beretta
 

For a pheasant gun would you buy a Berretta or Benelli. I was looking at the montifeltro in Benelli or simular berretta. What would you purchase? I already own a super black eagle in 3 1/2" so I don't need a magnum type gun. Want something light and reliable for target and pheasants.

I would buy whichever one fits you the best. Personally, I can't shoot my Beretta that I have because it is like looking up an incline, even with the stock shimmed out. On the otherhand my 2 Benelli's fit me like a glove and shoot wherever I point.

I really like the Barrettas. They swing great and so perfectly balanced.

I suppose it really does come down to personal appeal. I already own a 3 1/2 benelli and love it. Was looking to get a 3" for pheasant. I really love the feel and fit of the benellis. so I guess I will get a new M2 I really like the features. Thanks

If you want an auto just for upland the Monte is hard to beat. Bothe the Monte andAL391 are very slim thru the forearm and balance with more weight towards the stock. Bothof these attributes are good in an upland gun. The Monte is lighter and a little longer in over all length. Both have automatic magazine cutoffs with cartridge release buttons. The AL391 also has the bolt lock lever on the left side of the receiver. Both models come with shims to adjust the stock. The Monte holds five shells totaland the AL391 four total and neither can take an extention. The Monte only comes in W/B and the AL391 in W/B, B/S, and camo finishes. The Monte is way easier to clean than theAL391.
The Monte is more of an upland specialists. Only the Franchi AL48 is as good or better for pure upland hunting.

I have an M1 Super 90 and the new M2, and to tell ya the truth my M1 is still my go-to gun. Unless you absolutely wanted the "modern" look of the M2 I'd suggest buying and M1 and save yourself 100-150 dollars.

391 being my 1st choice

i like beretta 391 over all my ther guns including my m2benelli.
